Known by many as “the utility guy,” Steve has extensive experience as a saxophonist, keyboardist, and vocalist. Before returning to North Carolina, Steve worked professionally in Nashville, Tennessee from 1995 to 2007, recording with various ensembles honing his skills in popular genres: big band, jazz, gospel, rock and R&B. Steve was a long standing member of Radio Daze Big Band and The Undertones, and performed with countless other groups and individuals in various social and political functions.

Currently Steve is performing and recording with progressive rock, pop, and jazz ensembles in Western NC. Recent projects include Echo Park, the Groove Gypsies, and most importantly, The Lucky Strikes.
